Surrogacy has been a significant part of Jessica’s life for over a decade. At the tender age of 14, she witnessed her mother complete her first surrogacy journey, and three more would follow. This personal encounter with surrogacy stirred a deep-seated interest within her. After the birth of her son Jack, Jessica, at just 22 years old, felt incredibly fortunate. She had a body capable of bringing two beautiful children into the world, and she didn’t want its potential to go unused. Hence, she made the monumental decision to become a surrogate herself.

Jessica met her intended parents, Aaron and Liam, in 2020, through an independent surrogacy group on Facebook, Missing Piece Surrogacy Community. The connection was instant. Countless messages, Zoom calls, and in-person meet-ups later, their relationship was cemented. The bond they formed was effortless, akin to a long-standing friendship.

Navigating the surrogacy process wasn’t always smooth sailing. Over the span of two years, they endured two failed transfers and a miscarriage before their miracle, baby Phoebe, was conceived. Through the highs and lows, the hospital staff provided unwavering support, making the eventual success of the surrogacy journey all the more rewarding.

The delivery was an emotionally charged, beautiful experience. Watching Aaron and Liam meet Phoebe for the first time was a magical moment that Jessica will forever cherish. She recalls an atmosphere brimming with love in the delivery suite, a testament to the transformative power of surrogacy.

Even after the delivery, the bond between Jessica, Aaron, Liam, and baby Phoebe remains strong. No longer just intended parents, Aaron and Liam have become an extension of Jessica’s own family. Her advice to aspiring surrogates is simple: “Take your time, learn everything you can and follow other people’s journeys. Nothing has to be rushed. With the right support and knowledge, surrogacy is the best thing you’ll ever do.”
